ABOUT CHRISTIAN

Christian Donaldson is a recording engineer and music producer currently based out of Montreal, QC. He is also known for being the guitarist of the legendary death metal band, Cryptopsy. Producing bands since 1999, Donaldson’s work portfolio includes Juno-nominated records with Beyond Creation & The Agonist. Christian has also worked alongside: Shadow Of Intent, Beneath The Massacre, Despised Icon, Erimha, Cryptopsy, Ingested & Neuraxis.

Albums he’s worked on have been released through Candlelight Records, Century Media, Napalm Records, Nuclear Blast, Prosthetic Records, Unique Leader Records & Victory Records respectively. In March 2020, Donaldson was a featured engineer on “Nail The Mix”.

Solidifying his legacy as one of the metal world’s premier recording engineers, Christian Donaldson is looking to expand his album portfolio and continue recording, mixing and mastering future metal classics from established and up-and-coming metal acts.

Dominic Grimard

ENGINEER

Dominic has been in the metal scene for over a decade playing bass and guitar for his bands Ion Dissonance and The Last Felony as well as being a session musician for Cryptopsy, Carnifex and Ingested. His keen ear and attention to detail makes him the perfect team member for our studio. He has worked for bands such as Suffocation, Shadow of Intent, Ingested, Signs of the Swarm and has also worked with Record labels such as Nuclear Blast, Unique Leader Records and SVART Records.

Jonathan Mazzeo

ENGINEER

Jonathan (aka Jonny) started studying piano when he was 7 years old and at 15 he starts playing electric guitar. His career as a musician starts in 2007 when he release his first album with his band Bleed Someone Dry and in 2009, Jonathan decided to start his business as a sound engineer and he founded The Grid Europe. Thanks to The Grid Europe, he started building a network of relationships with musicians and bands around Europe. He worked with bands such as Despised Icon, The Agonist, Shadow Of Intent, Beneath The Massacre, Ingested just to name a few.

Rémi LeGresley

ENGINEER

Rémi has been playing guitar since childhood. His passion for music led him to study sound engineering in 2014. While playing guitar in multiple bands, he gained experience working at Planet Studios as an assistant engineer. He then proceeded to develop his skills as a FOH engineer. Rémi now runs LeGrizzly Productions and he has worked with bands such as Brought by Pain, Karkaos, Warpit.

In addition to a fine selection of amplifiers, cabs, guitars and basses, for drums we have a Pearl Masterworks kit as well as a wide variety of different snare drums to choose from.
